The Price of Gold by Stuart Whitelaw

This exhibition is an exploration and celebration of the landscape of the Deua River. The Deua flows through wilderness and National Park providing coastal communities of Eurobodalla with water for households and for growing food. Gold mining has had a profound effect on the river since the mid nineteenth century. The Deua is slowly healing from the erosion and siltation but will the toxic legacy of a new mine reveal the true price of gold?
