Canberra Mustang Car Show

Sunday 17 February 2019, 09:00am - 02:30pm

The Mustang Owners Club of Australia (MOCA) Canberra District will host the biennial Canberra Mustang Car Show on Sunday 17 February 2019, 09:00am – 2:30pm at Viking Park, Erindale.

“The Canberra Mustang Car Show is a static display of classic and modern Mustang motor vehicles and other American cars. The show provides a relaxed community atmosphere where a wide cross-section of Mustangs ranging from 1964 to the latest 2018 models may be viewed. Over the years, the show has proven very popular with car enthusiasts and spectators alike. Spectators are encouraged to speak with Mustang owners and join in and vote for their favourite car in the Peoples’ Choice award” said the event Coordinator Andrew Charlton.

“We aim to make the show family friendly. There will be vendors displaying their automotive products as well as food, drinks and ice creams on sale. We have a number of trophies up for grabs, and are expecting cars from Canberra, the south coast and as far away as Northern NSW. Members of the public are welcome to view the cars from 9am.”

“Proceeds from the show will be donated to a local charity Menslink. Come along and enjoy some classic and modern automotive icons and help us support our community.” Andrew Charlton said

The Mustang Owners Club of Australia (NSW) has around 700 members, with 70 members living in Canberra and surrounds. The Club holds regular displays and has in the past donated proceeds to various charities including the Ricky Stuart Foundation, the Sarah Disbrey Appeal, the Pediatrics Unit at the Canberra Hospital, Bosom Buddies ACT, and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Ford Mustangs were first produced in 1964 with 2014 marking the 50th anniversary of the brand. In 2015, Ford unveiled a new model Mustang, releasing it in Australia as a factory right hand drive vehicle.
