Volunteer for the Heart Foundation Early Morning Floriade Walks 2019

Floriade is fast approaching and Heart Foundation ACT is again leading early morning walks through Floriade from Saturday, September 14 to Sunday, October 13. We are looking for enthusiastic and driven volunteers who would be happy to lead, or support, walking groups through Floriade at 8am on each day of the festival (except Sunday).

The Heart Foundation promotes healthy lifestyles, and we want to make it easier for Australian’s to lead heart-healthy lives by bring the community together to be healthier through these early morning walks. These walks are to start a movement to take positive steps towards active living to help reduce stress, have a healthier body and heart, and build stronger relationships.

We will provide you with training, information and support to be able to confidently lead walks, noting that there will always be a Heart Foundation staff member at each walk. We will be holding an information session at 6pm on September 11th (more info to follow), and a familiarisation tour of Floriade in the coming weeks.

If you could, to help me with scheduling, please indicate your willingness to lead or support the walks, as well as date(s) of mornings you would be available. We are looking forward to another successful Floriade festival of early morning walking. Thank you for supporting us, and the community.
