A blaze at Canberra's Glebe Park Apartments earlier this month may have been the territory's first cladding fire.

An onsite investigation into the fire on Corranderk St has found it was sparked by a smouldering cigarette setting fire to "combustible" balcony furniture.

ACT police investigate pub assault in Braddon

A 40 year old man has been hospitalised following a violent attack at a Braddon pub.

Police say they were called to the Civic Pub on Lonsdale Street at about 10.20pm on Saturday, after the man was allegedly assaulted.
