NAPLAN review begins today

NAPLAN testing and result comparison will be the focus of an ACT driven review that begins today. State and Federal Education ministers will meet to talk about terms of reference for the test, as part of an Australia wide review that was approved by the Education Council late last year.

ACT doctor on sexual assault charges has prior arrest charge

A doctor who has been convicted of sexually assaulting a female patient in Canberra had previously been arrested in the UK over a similar allegation. A Tribunal decision has shown that Ammar Dhaimat got a certificate of good standing from the UK Medical Council and used that to apply to become a Doctor in Australia.

Inquiry will be held into John Lloyd complaint

Public service commissioner John Lloyd is under investigation for breaching the code of conduct less than two months before he leaves the role.It was decided yesterday that an inquiry into the complaint should be conducted, even though it will be dropped if it remains unfinished when Mr Lloyd retires in August.
