Fire crews have extinguished a blaze at a Chifley home this morning.

They were called to a Charteris Crescent home shortly before 8 o'clock, where a fire had spread from the garage to the house, injuring a 52 year-old man.

He's been taken to Canberra Hospital suffering from burns to his hands and neck.

There's been no damage to neighbouring
