New School Being Built In Gungahlin

Construction of a new $32 million primary school is underway in North Gungahlin.

The modern school facility will cater to more than 600 students from preschool to year 6 living in Taylor, Moncreiff and Jacka, when it opens for term 1 in 2019.

The school will also include a resource centre, after hours care facilities and state of the art music...

Big Storm Hits Canberra

The Emergency Services Agency has received well over 50 calls for assistance as a result of this afternoon's storm.

Hail and severe winds are still being experienced in southern parts of the ACT, causing fallen trees, flash flooding and hail damage.

No injuries or serious damage have been reported at this stage....

Police are seeking the return of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, which was stolen from Jamieson Plaza last Sunday evening. 

The Cavalier was tied to a chair when she was taken by three women and a girl, who used a black Range Rover to get away. 

ACT Police area asking for any wintesses to the incident to come forward.

'Diplomatic Immunity' Affecting Dog Investigation

Investigations into three separate dog attacks in Canberra are allegedly being hampered by the fact the owner has diplomatic immunity.

The dog, which lives on a property owned by the US embassy in Stirling, has been linked to three separate attacks in the past 18 months - including one on a four-year old girl.
