Faster and more frequent public transport wanted by Canberrans

Canberrans want public transport to be quicker and more frequent. That's the findings of the ACT Government's latest consultation for a new public transport network that will integrate buses with light rail.
 
62% of those surveyed said they would use public transport more often if services were more frequent.

Greyhound track to potentially be used by Canberra United

Canberra United could move W League games to the greyhound track. The Canberra Times reports the soon to be abandoned track could become a soccer hub and W League high performance centre, as part of a radical proposal to save the facility when dog racing is banned later this month.

Investigations into fatal Bonner house fire ongoing

ACT Policing has confirmed the investigation into the death of three people in Bonner earlier this year is still ongoing. A mother and her two children were found dead in their North Canberra home after reports of a suspicious house fire on February 19th.

Jamie's Italian suppliers left out of pocket

The shut-down of Jamies Italian in the city, has left some suppliers thousands of dollars out of pocket. The restaurant has more than a dozen of staff with an uncertain future, after closing on Monday, without zero notice... the chain is struggling with debt.
