The ACT government has decided to pull money out of the proposed new government office block in Civic and put the money to the ACT Health Sector.
Chief Minister Katy Gallagher and her Deputy Andrew Barr visited the Canberra Hospital this morning announcing the move to transfer 500 million dollars in funding from the proposed Civic Office block to health services.
The controversial Government office space will now be built by private developers and leased by the Government following the process of the proposed office block in Gungahlin.
Andrew Barr says proposals to meet the accomodation needs of the Civic building will be invited from the Private sector.
The re prioritised budget funding will now go into the new sub acute hospital in North Canberra as well as other services.
