Marymead Strikes Deal With NDIS To Continue Respite Care

Canberra families shut out of respite care have been granted a reprieve.

Service provider Marymead announced last month almost 70 percent of its 120 families would be locked out, saying it could no longer afford to run the service under NDIS funding.

But a last minute deal has been struck between Marymead and the NDIS, allowing young people with high needs to continue using the service, but the group says the solution is only short-term.
