Plan To Get Canberra Team Into Big Bash League


Millionaire Businessman Mark McConnell is headlining a list of Canberra identities, launching a bid to bring an ACT side into the Big Bash league.

The consortium is hoping Cricket ACT's brand new 6 million dollar facility in Phillip will be the trump card they need to join the booming competition.

The case for a mens and womens team will be put to Cricket Australia next year.

It comes of the back of Manuka Oval hosting the 2015 Big Bash Final and a near-sold out Thunder vs Renegades clash at the venue on January 24
