Figures Reveal How Much Our Politicians Are Spending On Travel

MLAs have spent almost $150,000 of taxpayers money on overseas travel since last year's ACT election.

The latest official reports on backbenchers and ministerial travel have been tabled in the Legislative Assembly.

Chief Minister Andrew Barr topped the expenses with $35,000 spent on numerous trips to Sydney, Singapore and Wellington.

Brendan Smyth, who holds the heavily scrutinised Commissioner for International Engagement role, went overseas 10 times, spending nearly $40,000.
