Canberrans Support Same Sex Marriage

The ACT had the highest majority of yes voters in the country.

Almost three in every four locals voted yes.

Of the 79% of Australians who voted in the survey, 62% were in favour of legalising same-sex marriage,

Chief Minister Andrew Barr says the voter turnout shows how inclusive Canberrans are, and is urging federal politicians to get on and legislate the issue.
