The ACT Government's renewal program will deliver new public housing alongside new defence housing.

There are currently 155 new dwellings being built on four sites across Taylor and the Gungahlin Town Centre, with 122 of those for public housing and 33 townhouses purchased by Defence Housing Australia.

Canberra company to build Belconnen Arts Centre stage 2

A Canberra based company has been appointed to build the second stage of the Belconnen Arts Centre.

$15 million is being invested by the ACT government.

It will feature a new multi purpose hall and performance space, dance studio, expanded exhibit space, cafe, conference rooms, public toilets and foreshore upgrade.

An ACT Legislative Assembly Committee inquiry into Government rural land purchases will commence next Wednesday. The audit will look at nine farms bought, with the Liberals and Greens particularly concerned about a Dickson land swap with the Tradies Club, and another block which was shown to have been purchased for $3 million above fair value.
