Supposed damsel in distress angers police

A 39 year old woman is set to face court after she made a hoax call to police yesterday.

ACT budget set to include suburb upgrades

The ACT Government has announced a range of upgrades will come out of the 2013-14 ACT Budget.

Public amenities, buildings and roads will be improved across all regions of Canberra.

$450, 000 will be spent on installing 30 drinking fountains at town centres, parks and sporting facilities.

$200, 000 will be also be spent on replacing barbeques

Community service workers in the ACT receive pay rise

The ACT government has reached an agreement with the Commonwealth on funding historic wage rises to the territory's social and community sector workers.

It follows a historic equal pay decision by Fair Work Australia last year to increase their wages between 19 and 41 per cent.
