Potential New Building In Prime Foreshore Land

A new six storey development is being touted for the Kingston Foreshore.

The 79-unit mixed commercial and residential block would be built on land that has been identified on the register of contaminated sites, with asbestos found in soil testing.

New Suburb Named 'Whitlam'

Canberra's latest suburb is honouring a former Australian Prime Minister.

Molongolo Valley's newest suburb will be commemorating Edward Gough Whitlam, Australia's 21st Prime Minister.

In 2010, Mr Whitlam gave permission for his name to be honoured as suburb name in the ACT, before passing away four years later.

How Much Does Eating Out Costs Canberrans?


Canberrans spend the least on fast food and restaurant, second to the Northern Territory. According to data from Commonwealth Bank, we spend on average $75 on fast food and nearly $110 on restaurants a month.

Belconnen residents are spending the most a month on fast food, while diners eating out in Kingston spent the most per visit....
