Many houses still affected by loose fill asbestos ignoring legal obligations
Almost half of Canberrans who continue to live in properties affected by asbestos are ignoring their legal obligations for a management plan. Worksafe ACT says 77 residential properties are still affected by loose-fill asbestos, with 48 of those required to have a plan.

ACT Green call for longer notice periods for tenants
The ACT Greens are calling for increased notice periods for tenants who are being evicted through no fault of their own. If a landlord decides to become an owner occupier, or intends to sell the property, the Greens are asking for notice periods to be increased to 12 weeks, up from the current four or eight.
