Have you noticed when it comes to the latest TV shows and new release movies how the classics from yesteryear are making a comeback?
On TV, Hey Hey It's Saturday was back on our screen in 2009, then we had new versions of Charlie's Angels (not so good) and Hawaii 5-O (not bad).
More recently, It's A Knockout has been adding a bit of light relief to Sunday nights on Ch 10.
On January 22, Young Talent Time (YTT) returns with a new format bit by still staying true to the original series of the 70's & 80's. It will be hosted by Rob Mills who was a contestant on Australian Idol a few years ago and certainly seems to be a star on the rise. Former host Johnny Young will be Executive Producer and former contestant Tina Arena will be on the judging panel. Inside information from Ch 10 suggests that the network have high hopes for the show and that Australian's will fall in love all over again with YTT.
Meanwhile, on the big screen we're about to laugh the popcorn out of its box with the new Muppets Movie. It will be great to see the frog, pig and bear cracking all those corny jokes again.
In my eyes, there's nothing wrong with breathing new life into the classics from the past, as long as it is done well and can capture the interest of a new generation.

Cooking.
Most nights you can find me stirring, whisking, slicing or baking.
Wine.
I have a big cellar of vino. I have some great $20 bottles and even a few decent $3 bottles.
Driving.
Love packing the car up and hitting the road for a weekend away.
My family, my partner, my cat. I’d also have trouble saying “No” to red wine, cheese and chocolate.
More restaurants per capita than any other Australian city. Love all four distinct seasons, especially winter. It’s got everything except a beach, and even that’s not far away
