Cannabis plants seized from ACT home

Police have seized 37 cannabis plants after searching a home in Uriarra Village.

A 27-year old will be summonsed to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.

He's facing numerous charges including cultivating a controlled plant, possessing a commercial firework and breaching a good behaviour order....

Four piglets stolen from a Canberra tourist attraction have been recovered.
Police and the RSPCA discovered the piglets at a home in Deakin yesterday -- after they were stolen from the Yarralumla Play Station last week.

An ACT government program designed to keep Canberrans employed during the coronavirus pandemic is set to be expanded.

An extra 500 thousand dollars has been set aside for the Jobs for Canberrans initiative, which has already helped 500 locals find work in the public service.
